Silla 新羅 / Korean monk (also written 見登之 Jiàndēngzhī; Korean: Gyeondeungji), known by the colophon-honorific Qīngqiū shāmén 青丘沙門 (“Monk of the Blue Hills” — i.e., Korea). Lifedates unknown; active in the late Silla / Tang transitional period (broadly 8th–9th c.). The DILA authority record (A000544) treats him as distinct from another Tang-period 見登 (A000543), but the texts attributed to the two figures are sometimes confused in the canon.

Author of two extant works in the Buddhist canon:

  • The Huáyán yīshèng chéngfó miàoyì 華嚴一乘成佛妙義 (T45n1890), a Huáyán doctrinal compendium on attainment of buddhahood through the One Vehicle.
  • The Qǐxìn lùn tóngyì jí 起信論同異集 KR6o0113 (X45n759), a topical compendium juxtaposing the Awakening of Faith and the Cheng-wei-shi lun on common doctrinal points to clarify their agreements and disagreements.

His method — comparative juxtaposition of Tathāgatagarbha and Yogācāra positions — places him in the broader Silla intellectual ecosystem that produced 元曉 and 太賢; he is often grouped with the latter as a Yogācāra-affiliated Korean scholar engaging the Qǐxìn lùn tradition from a Cí’ēn-school standpoint.
