Xǔ Zhònglín 許仲琳 (fl. ca. 1567–1619), hào Zhōngshān Yìsǒu 鍾山逸叟. A Nanjing author conventionally named as the compiler or author of KR4k0049 Fēngshén Yǎnyì 封神演義. The evidence for his authorship rests primarily on prefaces to early editions; some modern scholars argue that the text was substantially composed or edited by Lú Xīxīng 陸西星 (1520–1606), a Yangzhou Daoist master and prolific author.
