Xǔ Hóng 許宏 (fl. early Ming, Yǒnglè era 1403–1424, precise lifedates unrecorded). Of Jiànān 建安 (modern Jiànōu 建甌, Fújiàn). Early-Ming physician. Compiler of the Jīnjìng nèitái fāngyì 金鏡內臺方議 (KR3ed048), a 12-juǎn systematic question-and-answer commentary on the Shānghán lùn and Jīnguì yàolüè recipe corpus of Zhāng Zhòngjǐng (conventional date yǒnglè 17 = 1419). His work was poorly transmitted until late Ming, when it was discovered in manuscript and prefaced by Féng Shìrén 馮士仁 of XīShǔ (Sìchuān). Xǔ Hóng is not in CBDB; no biographical record outside the Fāngyì attribution. Multiple Ming-era physicians named Xǔ Hóng exist in popular medical anthologies; this Xǔ Hóng is distinguished by the Fāngyì attribution and the Jiànān origin.
