許嶽

Xǔ Yuè 許嶽

Late-Míng former jìnshì (前進士) of Qiántáng 錢塘 (Hángzhōu), self-styled Qiónghǎi Fúcháshēng 瓊海浮槎生 (“Floating-Raft Student of the Jade Sea”). Author of the introductory preface (No. 541-A) to 謝觀光 Xiè Guānguāng’s Bōrě xīnjīng shìyí 般若心經釋疑 (KR6c0160), dated Wànlì 15 / 1587 spring — itself a notable late-Míng literary biographical portrait of Xiè as a sānjiào polymath.
