Late-Yuán literatus of Tiāntái 天台 (Zhèjiāng). Shànqīng 善卿. Life-dates not recorded. He is known principally as the compiler of the KR4h0088 Dàyǎ jí 大雅集 (1361–1362), for which he travelled Wú-Yuè soliciting verse from contemporary regional poets and amassed 2,000-plus poems; the celebrated late-Yuán poet Yáng Wéizhēn 楊維楨 (Tiěyǎ dàorén) edited the corpus down to 300 pieces in 8 juǎn. The funding came from the Sōngjiāng literatus Xiè Lǚzhāi 謝履齋. No other works under Lài’s name are transmitted.
