Zhào Shēng 趙升 (fl. early-mid thirteenth century), zì Xiàngchén 向辰, self-styled “Wénchāng Zhào Shēng” 文昌趙升. A private Southern Sòng compiler whose only known work is the Cháoyě lèi yào 朝野類要 (KR3j0054), a five-juan dictionary of contemporary court and administrative terminology completed at the Shuāngguì shūyuàn 雙桂書院 during the Chóngyáng festival of Duānpíng 3 (1236) under Lǐzōng. The Sìkù editors note that his official career, native place, and lifedates are all undeterminable from the available evidence; “Wénchāng” is variously read as an antiquarian hào or as referring to Tōngzhōu 通州 (whose old name was Wénchāng). CBDB id 29568 carries no dates.
