Zhào Lián 趙濂 (zì Zhúquán 竹泉, late-Qīng, fl. late 19th c., 清), Jiāngsū-Dāntú 丹徒 (Zhènjiāngfǔ) physician. He spent decades in clinical practice with a special interest in traumatology and jīnchuāng wound-medicine, and is best known for his Shāngkē dàchéng 傷科大成 (KR3el005, completed Guāngxù 17 = 1891), one of the most systematic late-Qīng traumatology compendia. The book went through multiple lead-type reprints between 1929 and 1955 and has remained continuously in print in modern PRC reprint series. Zhào’s exact birth and death years are not preserved in the standard bibliographies; the active period is inferred from the dated publications of his works. No CBDB record. He is sometimes confused with the Yuán-Míng official Zhào Lián 趙濂 (a different person) in older bibliographic catalogues.
