Tōnghuì 通慧, zì Ānshí 安石 (“Settled Stone”). LínjìYángqí dharma-heir of Fǎchuáng Zhìyuǎn 智遠 at Yílíngzhōu Huánglíng chányuàn 彝陵州黃陵禪院. Lifedates unknown. Lead compiler (děng biān) of his master’s yǔlù KR6q0551 《法幢遠禪師語錄》 1 juan, J38 B434, prefaced 1695.
Several other monks named Tōnghuì 通慧 are registered: a Northern-Sòng Cí-ēn-school fǎshī (DILA A018972); a Tōnghuì Guī 通慧珪 (DILA A021102), Yún-mén-school dharma-heir of Fǎyún Xiù 法雲秀; Wén Tōnghuì 文通慧 (DILA A021523), Southern-Sòng monk of Kāifēng Báiyúnsì; a Daoguang-era Tōnghuì 通慧 of Pǔtuóshān (A013093). None is the same as the present compiler.
