Dàoxiānshì 道先氏 (fl. 1729 清), early-Qīng layman of 濛溪 (Méngxī, probably in Zhèjiāng or Jiāngsū), studio name 覺河圖 (Juéhétú, “Awakening Yellow-River Diagram”). Author of KR3ei051 Chǎnhòu shíbā lùn 產後十八論 (1729). His preface to that work identifies him explicitly as a non-physician who came to medicine only through the obstetrical crisis of his own daughter-in-law (dīngyǒu year = 1717) and the gift of a “hereditary-medical-family” (shìyī 世醫) manuscript from his sister’s husband Mr Shī 施. After a decade of using the formulas successfully on family, clan, and neighbours, he published the pamphlet in Yōngzhèng 7 (1729). The shìyī lineage that produced the original manuscript is unidentified. Not in CBDB.
