Guō Zhīdá 郭知達
Sòng-period scholar; native of Shǔ 蜀 (Sìchuān) per his self-preface to the Jiǔjiā jízhù Dù shī. Floruit late 12th century. The preface is dated Chúnxī 8 (1181). His one surviving work — and the basis of his importance to the Dù Fǔ commentary tradition — is the Jiǔjiā jízhù Dù shī KR4c0015, an editorially conscientious jízhù of Dù Fǔ’s poetry that consolidates the annotations of nine major Sòng commentators (王洙, 宋祁, 王安石, 黃庭堅, 薛夢符, 杜田, 鮑彪, 師尹, 趙次公) while explicitly stripping out the apocryphal LǎoDù shìshí 老杜事實 forgeries that had circulated in Sòng book-stalls. Chén Zhènsūn’s 陳振孫 Zhízhāi shūlù jiětí praises this editorial discrimination in unusually warm terms. The text was reprinted in Bǎoqìng 1 (1225) by Zēng È 曾噩 in Guǎngzhōu; this Bǎoqìng print is the basis of the WYG. CBDB has no entry.
