Zhèng Zhòng 鄭眾

Zhòngshī 仲師. Eastern Hàn 東漢 classicist (d. 83 CE), son of the great Western-Hàn classicist Zhèng Xìng 鄭興 and forerunner (sometimes confused with) the later 鄭玄 Zhèng Xuán. Held office as Grand Master of Ceremonial (Tàicháng 太常). A founding figure of the Eastern Hàn ancient-script (gǔwén 古文) school in Shī, Sānlǐ, Chūnqiū Zuǒshì, and the . His commentary is lost; fragments survive in 史徵 Shǐ Zhēng’s Zhōuyì kǒujué yì (KR1a0009) and in 李鼎祚 Lǐ Dǐngzuò’s Zhōuyì jíjiě (KR1a0008). Hòu Hànshū (juan 36) gives his biography.
