Chén Zhí 陳埴 (Sòng), zì Qìzhī 器之, was a Southern Sòng Lǐxué commentator of Yǒngjiā 永嘉 (Wēnzhōu, Zhèjiāng). Jìnshì; awarded Tōngzhí láng on retirement. A direct disciple of Zhū Xī’s; the Yǒng-lè-period Wǔ jīng dàquán refers to him as Qiánshì Chénshì 潛室陳氏 (Mr. Chén of the Hidden Chamber). His major work is the Mù zhōng jí 木鍾集 (KR3a0056), a yǔlù-style classical commentary in 11 juan. The catalog meta date 1214 places him in the early Jiādìng era.
