Chén Shǎohǎi 陳少海 (pen name Hónglóu Fùmèng Rén 紅樓複夢人; fl. c. 1799) was a Qīng-dynasty author, apparently from Guǎngdōng. He composed the 100-chapter Hónglóu Fùmèng 紅樓複夢, a sequel to Hónglóu Mèng 紅樓夢, which he dated in the preface to the ninth month of Jiājìng 己未 (1799), written at his “Rónggzhú Shānfáng” 蓉竹山房 retreat in Chūnzhōu. His brother contributed a further preface to the work. No biographical details beyond those extractable from the text’s paratexts are known; no CBDB entry has been located.
