Chén Dàohēng 陳道亨 (1542–1616), zì Yuánshēng 元升, hào Huánjiāng 環江, of Xīnjiàn 新建 in Jiāngxī. Wànlì-era jìnshì (1577); rose to Bīngbù shàngshū 兵部尚書 (Minister of War). With 劉日升 Liú Rìshēng, collated and cut to woodblocks the late-Wànlì print of 楊簡 Yáng Jiǎn’s Yángshì Yì zhuàn (KR1a0037) that became the Sìkù base-text.
