Chén Lóngzhèng 陳龍正 (1585–1645), zì Tìlóng 惕龍, hào Jītíng 幾亭, was a late-Míng Dōnglín 東林-affiliated scholar and disciple of Gāo Pānlóng 高攀龍 (cf. KR4e0225) from Jiāshàn 嘉善 (Zhèjiāng). He passed the jìnshì in Chóngzhēn jiǎxū 崇禎甲戌 = 1634 and served as Zhōngshū shèrén 中書舍人. He is best known as the editor of his master’s Gāozǐ yíshū 高子遺書 (KR4e0225), prefaced 1631; his own collected writings include the Jītíng quánshū 幾亭全書, an extensive compendium of essays on classical learning, statecraft, ritual, and famine relief. Chén combined the Dōnglín Lǐxué program with extensive practical writing on local governance and charitable institutions, and is one of the more important late-Míng Confucian witnesses to the famine years of the 1630s.
