Táo Chéng 陶成 (fl. early 18th century; lifedates not transmitted), former Hanlin jiǎntǎo 檢討 (Examiner) on demoted status. Engaged by the Jiāngxī governor Xiè Mín 謝旻 in 1730 as principal biānzuǎn of the Jiāngxī tōngzhì (KR2k0043), which he carried through to completion in Yōngzhèng 10 (1732). Several CBDB entries with the name 陶成 — none has the dates and offices that match this Yōngzhèng compiler. Not to be confused with the Míng painter Táo Chéng 陶成 (1390–1450, CBDB 67245), with whom there is no connection beyond name.
