Lù Wèi 陸位

Style name Dǒunán 斗南, self-styled Yìkè 逸客 (“Reclusive Guest”). Late-Míng commoner astronomer; CBDB c_personid 222298 carries an index year of 1552 but no securely recorded birth or death year. Editor (xiào 校) of the Xīnbiān zūnyī sītiāntái jīngwěi lìshū 新編遵依司天臺經緯歷書 (KR3fb007), a privately-recensioned ephemeris covering the years from the mid-Jiā-jìng era (1554) through the early Wànlì (1613). The front-matter colophon couples his name with that of his student Chén Kějiào 陳可教 as proofreader (yuè 閱), indicating a workshop arrangement of the kind that produced many of the Wàn-lì-era private almanacs and calendar-commentary printings.

Beyond the KR3fb007 recension Lù Wèi has left no securely datable independent work; he is unmentioned in Wilkinson and absent from the Míng shǐ and from the gazetteer prosopographies consulted. The implied dates (active c. 1573–1613) place him among the second-tier private practitioners of the late-Wàn-lì astronomical scene, of the type that supplied the public market for ephemerides paralleling the official Dàtǒng lì.
