Língyù 靈裕 (518–605, conventional dates per DILA A005283 and the Xù gāosēng zhuàn 續高僧傳), styled Yù fǎshī 裕法師 (“Master Yù”) and posthumously Yù púsà 裕菩薩 (“Bodhisattva Yù”), the senior Buddhist scholar-monk of the late Northern-Dynasties / Suí transition. A Dìlùn-school master in the lineage of 慧光 Huìguāng, he was active across the Northern Qí, Northern Zhōu, and early Suí periods, surviving the Northern Zhōu persecution of Buddhism (574 – 578) to emerge as a major Buddhist authority under Suí Wéndì 文帝 (r. 581 – 604), who invited him to lecture in the imperial palace and conferred upon him the title Yù púsà. Author of the [[KR6e0116|Huáyán jīng wén yì jì 華嚴經文義記]] in 100 fascicles per the Xù gāosēng zhuàn, of which only fascicle 6 survives (preserved in the Manji Xù zàng jīng X211). Per the Xù gāosēng zhuàn, his works also include the Nièpán jīng yì jì 涅槃經義記, the Dà chéng yì zhāng 大乘義章, and a great many other doctrinal-cosmological treatises, of which most are lost.
