Gāo Chéng 高承 (fl. Yuánfēng 元豐 1078–1085), Northern-Sòng resident of Kāifēng. No biographical material survives beyond his attestation as compiler of the Shìwù jìyuán 事物紀原 (KR3k0014) — the principal Northern-Sòng qǐyuán compendium. Zhào Xībiàn (in Dúshū fùzhì) and Chén Zhènsūn (in Zhízhāi shūlù jiětí) both record him as a Yuánfēng-era Kāifēng man; no other writings are attributed to him, no biography appears in the Sòng shǐ. Xiàng Bīn 項彬 of the Shuāngxī 雙溪 wrote the original preface, now lost.
