Gāo Chǔfāng 高楚芳
Yuán-period scholar and commercial publisher; native of Línjiāng 臨江 Xīnyú 新喻 (modern Xīnyú in central Jiāngxī). Floruit late 13th – early 14th century. His principal scholarly contribution is the editing and printing of the Jí qiānjiā zhù Dù gōngbù shī jí KR4c0018 (= Fēnmén jízhù Dù gōngbù shī) — the consummation of the Sòng qiānjiā zhù 千家註 tradition for Dù Fǔ 杜甫, reorganized into a 20-juǎn fēnmén (genre-arranged) anthology format that became the standard Dù Fǔ commentary edition for YuánMíng kējǔ preparation. CBDB has no entry; no other works are securely attributed to him. He was the kind of late-Sòng / early-Yuán publishing scholar — combining genuine commentary work with profit-seeking commercial printing — that the Sìkù tíyào catalogers describe with mixed approval.
