Sòng official from Jiāxīng 嘉興, courtesy name Jìqīn 季欽. CBDB id 3628 attests his lifedates as 1100–1176. He served principally in Fújiàn and ended his career as Fújiàn tídiǎn xíngyù gōngshì 福建提點刑獄公事. His zhìyì (epitaph) was written by Zhōu Bìdà 周必大 and is preserved in the Píngyuán jí 平園集. The Sìkù tíyào notes that the various received accounts which give his courtesy name as Jìqīng 季卿, his native place as Hǎiyán 海鹽, or his final office as Tàifǔqīng 大府卿 are all incorrect. He was a serious Du-studies scholar who annotated Dù Fǔ’s poems and compiled the standard Sòng Dù gōngbù shī niánpǔ 杜工部詩年譜 (KR2g0008) — the foundation of the later Du-studies niánpǔ tradition. Yáo Tóngshòu’s Lèjiāo sīyǔ notes that Lǔ Yín reorganized the order of Dù Fǔ’s Yóu Lóngmén through Guò Dòngtíng poems to follow the poet’s biographical chronology.
