Huáng Chūn 黃櫄
Zì Shífū 實夫. Native of Lóngxī 龍溪 (modern Zhāngzhōu 漳州, Fújiàn). Twelfth-century Shī scholar; lifedates not recoverable. In Chúnxī 淳熙 (1174–89) he sat the imperial shèxuǎn 舍選 selection examination and rose through both jìnshì grades; appointed Instructor of Nánjiànzhōu 南劍州 prefecture; final office Xuānjiào láng 宣教郎.
Author of Shī jiě 詩解 in 20 juǎn and a Zǒnglùn 總論 in 1 juǎn, surviving as the second layer of KR1c0012 Máoshī Lǐ-Huáng jíjiě 毛詩李黃集解 (paired with 李樗 Lǐ Chū’s larger Máoshī xiángjiě 毛詩詳解). On the small preface he takes the position of Wáng Ānshí 王安石 and the Chéng brothers — that the xù could only have been made by a sage and is therefore wholly authoritative — diametrically opposed to Lǐ Chū’s Sū-Zhé-derived layered-xù hypothesis. The two commentaries thus complement each other in form but disagree fundamentally on the central question of Sòng Shī exegesis.
