Gōng Míngzhī 龔明之 (1091–1182), Xīzhòng 希仲, hào Wǔxiū jūshì 五休居士; native of Kūnshān 崑山 in Sūzhōu (Píngjiāng). Northern-and-Southern-Sòng minor official and local bǐjì author. By prefectural-tribute and palace-examination in the Shàoxīng era he was given the post of Gāozhōu wénxué; under early Chúnxī nominated as jīngmíng xíngxiū and given honorary Xuānjiào láng on retirement. Lived to age 92; in his final year (Chúnxī 9 = 1182), at his lodge Qīyí táng (the “Hall of Reaching Centenarian Age”), he dictated the ZhōngWú jìwén 中吳紀聞 (KR2k0114) to his son Yù 昱 — the principal late-twelfth-century bǐjì on Sūzhōu literati biography and local culture. Note: the catalog meta gives 襲 as the surname, but the Sìkù tíyào and CBDB confirm 龔; followed here. CBDB id 10199.
