Gōng Yù 龔昱 (zì Lìdào 立道, locally known as Gōng shānzhǎng 龔山長, “Master Gōng of the Mountain”), of Kūnshān 崑山 (modern Sūzhōu region), Southern-Sòng scholar of the late twelfth century. The Míng Kūnshān rénwù zhì 崑山人物志 by Fāng Péng 方鵬 records that he had a distinguished air in literary learning and was ān pín lè dào 安貧樂道 (“contented in poverty and pleased with the Way”); his residence was named Qījiāntáng 棲間堂 (“Roosting-in-the-Margins Hall”). Both Lù Yóu 陸游 and Liú Guò 劉過 wrote poems for him.
Disciple of 李衡 (Lǐ Héng, 1100–1178) of Lèān 樂庵 for six years, recording his master’s daily lectures and conversations and compiling them after Lǐ Héng’s death as the Lèān yǔlù 樂菴語錄 KR3j0020 (5 juan, with appended Sòng shǐ biography of Lǐ Héng).
