Gōng Dǐngchén 龔鼎臣 (1010–1086), zì Fǔzhī 輔之, hào Dōngyuán xiānshēng 東原先生 (whence the title of his bǐjì the Dōng yuán lù 東原錄). Native of Yùnzhōu Xūchéng 鄆州須城 (modern Dōngpíng 東平, Shāndōng). Jǐngyòu 1 (1034) jìnshì; rose through Jiànyì dàfū (Right Remonstrating Grandee), Jīngdōng dōnglù ānfǔshǐ (Eastern Capital Pacification Commissioner), Zhī Qīngzhōu (Prefect of Qīngzhōu); transferred to Tàizhōng dàfū, Tíjǔ Bózhōu Tàiqīnggōng (a fèngcí sinecure); retired with Zhèngyì dàfū rank. Biography: Sòng shǐ j. 320. Active in opposition to Wáng Ānshí’s Xīníng reforms.
