Èr Qín lù 二秦錄
Catalogue of the Two Qíns
A lost early-fifth-century Buddhist bibliographical catalogue compiled by Sēngruì 僧叡 of the Later Qín 後秦 (the “two Qín states” of the title are the Former and Later Qín). The work is not transmitted as such; it is known only by citation in later sources, principally Féi Chángfáng’s 費長房 Lìdài sānbǎo jì 歷代三寶紀 (KR6r0011). It is one of the earliest Chinese Buddhist catalogues and a key indirect witness to the Yáo-Qín translation activity around 鳩摩羅什 Kumārajīva, 佛陀耶舍 Buddhayaśas, and 竺佛念 Zhú Fóniàn.
