遺教經

Yíjiào jīng — “Sūtra of the Bequeathed Teaching” (Skt. roughly Buddha-parinirvāṇa-mahāsūtra; T389). Traditionally attributed in Chinese tradition to the translator Kumārajīva (鳩摩羅什). It records the Buddha’s final teaching delivered to his disciples on the night of his parinirvāṇa and became, with the Sìshíèrzhāng jīng 四十二章經 (KR6i0483) and the Bā dàrén jué jīng 八大人覺經 (KR6i0476), one of the Sòng-grouped “Three Sūtras of the Buddha-Patriarchs” (佛祖三經).
