Shānghán zuǎn lùn / Shānghán xù lùn 傷寒纘論_傷寒緒論

Compiled Discourse / Threads of Discourse on Cold Damage by 張璐 (Zhāng Lù, Lùyù 路玉, hào Shíwán Lǎorén 石頑老人, 1617–1700, 清)

About the work

The combined four-juan recension of 張璐 Zhāng Lù’s Shānghán commentary, presenting both the Zuǎn lùn 纘論 (compiled annotations on the canonical text, 2 juan; see KR3ef020) and the Xù lùn 緒論 (threads of further discourse on ancillary clinical problems, 2 juan) as a unified set. The combined edition is the standard form in Qīng prints.

Abstract

Same composition date (1667). The Xù lùn component takes up subjects that the canonical Shānghán lùn treats only briefly or implicitly: wēnbìng 溫病 (warm-disease) interactions with Shānghán, the management of pediatric Shānghán, Shānghán in pregnancy, post-Shānghán convalescence problems, and the diagnostic-pulse adjustments specific to Shānghán clinical assessment. Together with the Zuǎn lùn, the set constitutes Zhāng’s full Shānghán commentary.
