Yīzōng jīnjiàn 醫宗金鑑
The Golden Mirror of Medical Tradition (alternate reprint) by 吳謙 (奉敕撰) and 劉裕鐸 (奉敕撰)
About the work
This entry duplicates the parallel KR3eu016 listing for the Qīng imperial-commission medical compendium Yīzōng jīnjiàn — the same 90-juàn work, here entered separately in the hxwd reprint catalog. The structural plan (seven divisions: Dìngzhèng Shānghán lùn zhù 17 j., Dìngzhèng Jīnguì zhù 8 j., Shānbǔ míngyī fānglùn 8 j., Sìzhěn xīnfǎ yàojué 1 j., Yùnqì yàojué 1 j., Zhūkē xīnfǎ yàojué 54 j., Zhènggǔ xīnfǎ yàozhǐ 5 j.), the editorial history (commissioned Qiánlóng 7 = 1742, completed Qiánlóng 14 = 1749) and the doctrinal stance are described in detail in KR3eu016 and in the canonical Sìkù entry KR3e0090.
Abstract
The present recension is an alternate hxwd reprint volume of the same imperial Qīng-period medical compendium documented at KR3eu016 and KR3e0090. The work is the foundational Qīng imperial-commission medical-curriculum text — used continuously by the Qīng imperial Tàiyīyuàn from 1749 to 1911 — and remains a major reference in modern Chinese medicine.
For full provenance, structure, dating, transmission and significance see KR3e0090 (the canonical Sìkù entry) and KR3eu016 (the first reprint listing in the present hxwd series).
