Yīzōng jīnjiàn · Shānbǔ míngyī fānglùn 醫宗金鑑·刪補名醫方論
Edited Discussions on the Prescriptions of Famous Physicians (alternate listing) by 吳謙 (奉敕撰) and 劉裕鐸 (奉敕撰), under imperial commission
About the work
This entry duplicates KR3eu018. The two listings reflect the hxwd reprint catalog’s separation of the same 8-juàn imperial formulary-and-discussion volume into multiple sub-volume entries.
Abstract
The Shānbǔ míngyī fānglùn — 8 juàn — is the formulary-and-discussion volume of the Yīzōng jīnjiàn, presenting selected prescriptions from Zhāng Zhòngjǐng, the Sòng official compendia, the four JīnYuán great masters and the major Míng physicians, accompanied by editorial fānglùn (prescription-discussions). The work is one of the most influential fānglùn-genre texts in any Chinese medical compendium and is the principal Qīng imperial-academy reference for the rationale (fāngyì 方義) of standard prescriptions. Composition window 1742–1749.
