Fúshēng Liù Jì

Six Records of a Floating Life by 沈復 (撰)

About the work

(Six Records of a Floating Life) is the celebrated personal memoir by Shěn Fù 沈復 (courtesy name Sānbái 三白; 1763–after 1809) of Sūzhōu 蘇州. This entry represents a second catalog record in the Kanripo corpus for the same text, differing from KR4k0116 only in the catalog reference tag (Fusheng_liuji here vs. Fu2sheng1_liu4_ji4 for KR4k0116). Comparison of the two digital files confirms they are byte-for-byte identical. For full description see KR4k0116.

Abstract

See KR4k0116 for the complete abstract. This Kanripo entry (KR4k0118) is a duplicate catalog record for the same textual witness. Both entries preserve the four surviving juǎn of Fúshēng Liù Jì:

(Joys of the Boudoir)
(Pleasures of Leisure)
(Sorrows of Hardship)
(Joys of Roaming)

The two remaining juǎn referenced in the title are absent from all known witnesses, as in KR4k0116.
