Commentary on the “Huángdì yīnfú jīng”
Yuán commentary on the Yīnfú jīng by Yú Yǎn 俞琰 (1258–1314; hào Línwū shānrén 林屋山人, Yùwū sǒu 玉吾叟), published posthumously with preface dated 1348, twelve folios, preserved in the Zhèngtǒng Dàozàng 正統道藏 (DZ 0126 / CT 126 = TC 125), 洞真部 本文類
About the work
A twelve-folio Yuán commentary by Yú Yǎn 俞琰 (1258–1314) — a specialist on the Yìjīng 易經 and author of Zhōuyì cāntóng qì fāhuī (DZ 1005). The preface by Shī Yù 施裕 is dated 1348, posthumous to Yú Yǎn. The text presents the short version (c. 300 words). In doing so, Yú explicitly (11a) follows Zhū Xī 朱熹, who thought that the additional sentences making up the long version (c. 400 words) were in fact commentaries; compare [[KR5a0114|DZ 113 Jiǎn Chāngchén’s Huángdì yīnfú jīng jiě]]. Yú gives philological and naturalistic explanations about the world of humanity.
Prefaces
