About the work
See KR5c0051 Nánhuá zhēn jīng for the comprehensive treatment of the Zhuāngzǐ — its authorship, dating, 33-chapter structure (7 Nèi piān, 15 Wài piān, 11 Zá piān), the Guō Xiàng redaction history, and the full bibliography. Source: CHANT
The text is sourced from the CHANT (Chinese Ancient Text) database, a major electronic-text project based at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The base-edition collation draws on:
- Guō Qìngfán 郭慶藩, Zhuāngzǐ jí shì 莊子集釋 (1894, the standard critical edition)
- Wáng Shūmín 王叔岷, Zhuāngzǐ jiào quán 莊子校詮
- Fāng Yǒng 方勇
- Chén Gǔyìng 陳鼓應
(The header notes these as reference-edition anchors.)
Relation to KR5c0051
The canonical Daozang edition of the Zhuāngzǐ, preserved as Nánhuá zhēn jīng (DZ 670), is catalogued separately at KR5c0051 with full bibliographical and philosophical discussion. The present KR5c0126 is the bare-text / linguistic-research edition.
