About the work

The text is a brief hagiographic biography of the Táng Perfected Lord Yè. If identified as Yè Fǎ shàn 葉法善 (616–720) — the famous Táng court Daoist master who served Táng Gāozōng, Wǔ zé tiān, and Xuánzōng — the work would be an extended commemoration of one of the most influential early-Táng Daoists.

Dating. SòngYuán period (c. 1200–1300 per catalog). Dynasty: 宋-元.
