About the work
The text compiles Daoist disciplinary precepts from the Tài shàng 太上 (Lǎojūn) scriptural tradition. It belongs to the mature Táng-era codification of Daoist jiè lǜ 戒律 discipline, alongside the efforts of 金明七真 Jīnmíng Qīzhēn (DZ 1125 Sān dòng fèng dào kē jiè) and others.
