Record of Perfected Xǔ’s Stone Casket

attributed to 許遜 (Xǔ Xùn, Xǔ zhēn jūn, trad. 239–374)

A Southern-Sòng Daoist alchemical-ritual text pseudepigraphically attributed to Xǔ Xùn 許遜 (Xǔ zhēn jūn), the Eastern-Jìn immortal venerated as patriarch of the Jìng míng 淨明 school at Xī shān 西山 (Jiāngxī). The “stone casket” (shí hán 石函) framing device represents the scripture as recovered from a hidden receptacle. Preserved as DZ 951 / CT 951 (Dòngshén bù, Zhòng shù lèi 洞神部眾術類) in 2 juàn.
