The Liú zǐ is a late-Six-Dynasties philosophical-ethical miscellany traditionally (but uncertainly) attributed either to Liú Xié 劉勰 (author of the Wén xīn diāo lóng 文心雕龍) or to Liú Zhòu 劉晝 (514–565). In 55 short sections covering self-cultivation, governance, and moral psychology. The standard commentary is by Yuán Xiàozhèng 袁孝政 of the Táng. Preserved as DZ 1030 / CT 1030 (Tài xuán bù 太玄部).
