planchette-attributed prose of 呂洞賓 (Lǚ Dòngbīn / Chúnyáng dìjūn / Fúyòu shàngdì) — the prose half of the Lǚzǔ quán shū compendium
A two-juàn collection of fújī-revealed prose writings attributed to Lǚ Dòngbīn — companion to the Lǚdì shī jí poetry collection at KR5i0050 — assembled within the same Liú Tǐshù / Liǔ Shǒu-yuán-circle Lǚ-zǔ-cult editorial work that also produced KR5i0045 Lǚ zǔ běn zhuàn. The contents include: xù (prefaces) — the Dà dòng yù jīng xù, Yù huáng běn xíng jí jīng zhí jiě xù, Wénchāng dìjūn xiào jīng xù, Xuándì qī pǐn jīng xù, Xīhé sàzǔ jiùkǔ jīng xù, etc. — i.e., spirit-written prefaces by Lǚzǔ to the various scriptures gathered in DZJY; jì (records) — Zhōngnán dé dào jì, Jiāngzhōu tíng zìjì, Dōngyuè miào bēi jì, etc.; fù (rhapsodies) — Bā xiān yán fù, Qún xiān gāo huì fù, Nèi dān fù, Dēng xiān fù; lùn (treatises) — Rén dào lùn, Cān tóng lùn, Lì xíng gōng guò lùn; and zìxù of his other works.
Prefaces
The collection opens directly with the table of contents; no separate framing preface is preserved at the head, the Wénchāng and Liǔ Shǒuyuán prefaces operating at the level of the broader compendium.
Abstract
The prose component of the mid-eighteenth-century Lǚzǔ quán shū compendium. The texts are spirit-written products of the Húběi / Sìchuān planchette network of the early-Qián-lóng era, c. 1700–1750. The prose collection is a useful repository: many of its component prefaces are the same texts that appear at the head of other DZJY scriptures — e.g., the Yù huáng běn xíng jí jīng zhí jiě xù corresponds to Lǚzǔ’s preface preserved at KR5i0015; the Wénchāng xiào jīng xù matches the preface at KR5i0084 etc. The collection is thus a useful internal index to Lǚzǔ’s scripture-prefatorial corpus within DZJY.
