About the work
A short single-juan anonymous brief auxiliary liturgical apparatus for the Fǎhuá sānmèi tradition, complementing Zhànrán’s Bǔzhù yí (KR6d0192) and Zhìyǐ’s foundational Chànyí (KR6d0191). The work is one of the standard Tang-Sòng Fǎhuá sānmèi liturgical apparatus.
Abstract
The composition is bracketed loosely within the post-Zhànrán productive period for Fǎhuá sānmèi liturgical material (c. 750–1100). The work was preserved through the Tiāntái liturgical tradition and incorporated into the Taishō canonical apparatus alongside the other principal Fǎhuá sānmèi texts.
