This 1-fascicle text combines 師會 Shīhuì’s treatise on the tóng jiào yī chéng 同教一乘 (“shared-teaching One-Vehicle”) doctrine — a key Huáyán-school doctrinal position concerning the relation of the Avataṃsaka’s One-Vehicle teaching to the Three-Vehicle teachings of the other Mahāyāna scriptures — with 希迪 Xīdí’s annotation. Per DILA A000487, Xīdí’s annotation is dated Jiātài 嘉泰 2 (1202).

Abstract
The composite work covers the period from Shīhuì’s mature activity (c. 1145 – 1170) through Xīdí’s annotation (1202). The bracket adopted here (1145 – 1218) reflects this maximum window. The doctrinal substance is one of the most important controversies in mature Sòng Huáyán-school doctrinal study: the bǐn jiào 別教 (“separate-teaching One-Vehicle”) versus tóng jiào 同教 (“shared-teaching One-Vehicle”) distinction that Fǎzàng had introduced in [[KR6e0074|the Wǔ jiào zhāng]].
The work is preserved in the Manji Xù zàng jīng (X1016) collection.
