This 1-fascicle text combines 師會 Shīhuì’s question-and-answer treatment of the tóng jiào doctrine with 善熹 Shànxī’s annotation. The work is part of the same Sòng Huáyán doctrinal-controversy literature on the tóng jiào / bǐn jiào distinction as [[KR6e0135|Zhù huáyán tóng jiào yī chéng cè]] (X1016).

Abstract
The bracket adopted here (1145 – 1180) reflects the period of 師會 Shīhuì and 善熹 Shànxī’s master-disciple collaborative scholarship. The work belongs to the same Sòng Huáyán tóng jiào / bǐn jiào literature as the parent cè and reflects the ongoing scholastic culture around mature Huáyán doctrinal categories.
The work is preserved in the Manji Xù zàng jīng (X1017) collection.
