Yī chéng jué yí lùn 一乘決疑論
Treatise on Resolving Doubts about the One-Vehicle by 彭際清 (Péng Jìqīng / Péng Shàoshēng, 述)
About the work
This 1-fascicle text by 彭際清 Péng Jìqīng (1740–1796), the principal late-Qīng lay-Buddhist intellectual, is a doctrinal treatise resolving doubts about the yī chéng 一乘 (One-Vehicle) doctrine — the foundational Mahāyāna teaching elaborated in the Avataṃsaka and the Lotus, and the doctrinal centre of the Huáyán-school’s distinctive doxographical claim. The jué yí “resolving doubts” format is one of the standard Buddhist apologetic genres.

Abstract
The bracket adopted here (1770 – 1796) reflects Péng’s mature Buddhist activity, leading up to his death. The work belongs to his synthesis of Huáyán doctrine and Pure Land devotional practice — alongside [[KR6e0148|Huáyán niàn fó sānmèi lùn]] (X1030) — that became the foundational corpus of late-Qīng / early-Republican lay-Buddhist intellectualism.
The work is preserved in the Manji Xù zàng jīng (X1029) collection.
