The two-fascicle alternative recension of the Sūxīdì jiéluó gòngyǎng fǎ (companion to KR6j0063 = T894a in three-fascicle form). The two recensions differ in arrangement and length but share the same core ritual content of the Susiddhikara offering sequence.
Abstract
The two-fascicle recension represents an alternative arrangement of the same Tang Esoteric ritual material. The two recensions (T894a and T894b) likely reflect different editorial reorganisations of Śubhakarasiṃha’s translation work — one preserving the original three-fascicle structure, the other consolidated to two fascicles.
The translation dates from Śubhakarasiṃha’s Chángān period (724–735).
