Abstract
The three-text Uṣṇīṣa-vijaya sub-corpus (KR6j0076–0078) gives the Tang Esoteric tradition’s framework for the Uṣṇīṣa-vijaya practice in three layers of detail: the doctrinal-soteriological framework (KR6j0076), the full ritual manual (KR6j0077), and the dhāraṇī-text proper with brief notes (KR6j0078). The structure suggests these are three editorial layers of the same practice tradition, preserved together in the Tang Esoteric corpus.
The translation dates from Śubhakarasiṃha’s Chángān period (716–735).
