A one-fascicle anonymous Bhaiṣajyaguru ritual manual, the third of three parallel ritual texts on the same theme preserved in the Taishō under T924A/B/C (= KR6j0094/0095/0096). T924C (“a single set”) is a complete short ritual handbook for the Bhaiṣajyaguru practice, anonymously transmitted.
Abstract
The three-text Bhaiṣajyaguru sub-corpus (T924A/B/C) preserves the Tang Esoteric Bhaiṣajyaguru ritual tradition in three layers: two attributed Amoghavajra recensions (T924A, T924B) and the anonymous compendium (T924C). Together they document the importance of the Bhaiṣajyaguru practice in Tang Esoteric Buddhism.
