Yàoshī qī fó gòngyǎng yíguǐ rúyìwáng jīng 藥師七佛供養儀軌如意王經
Sūtra of the Wish-Fulfilling-King Offering Ritual for the Seven Bhaiṣajyaguru Buddhas by 工布查布 (Gönpojab, 譯)
About the work
A one-fascicle Qīng-period Tibetan-Esoteric ritual scripture translated from Tibetan by Gönpojab (工布查布) under Qiánlóng-period imperial patronage. Companion to the Yuán-period Sherap translations (KR6j0097, KR6j0098), this Qīng-period text is a fuller scriptural-ritual translation of the seven-Bhaiṣajyaguru tradition from the Tibetan canon.
Abstract
The text expands the Yuán-period KR6j0097/0098 sub-corpus with a fuller scripture-ritual translation derived from the Tibetan canonical tradition. The “rúyìwáng” 如意王 (“Wish-Fulfilling-King”) epithet identifies the ritual as a cintāmaṇi (wish-fulfilling-jewel) practice — the practitioner’s bodhicitta-aspirations are fulfilled by the seven-Bhaiṣajyaguru’s compassionate empowerment.
The translation dates from Gönpojab’s documented Qiánlóng-period (1736–1796) translation programme.
