Offering-Method for the Recitation Ritual of the Seven Bhaiṣajyaguru Buddhas by 沙囉巴 (Sherap, 譯)
About the work
A one-fascicle Yuán-period offering-ritual manual translated from Tibetan by Sherap (沙囉巴), companion to KR6j0097 — the offering-component (gòngyǎng fǎ) of the seven-Bhaiṣajyaguru ritual cycle.
Abstract
The text gives the systematic offering procedures (pūjā) for the seven-Bhaiṣajyaguru ritual: the preparation of offering substances, the eight standard offerings (aṣṭa-pūjā: water for drinking, water for washing the feet, flowers, incense, lamps, perfume, food, music), and the merit-dedication. The translation dates from Sherap’s career at the Yuán court (ca. 1290–1314).
