Author’s colophon: 唐天台沙門明曠刪補.
Abstract
Míngkuàng’s revised commentary represents the mid-Tang Tiāntái scholastic consensus on the bodhisattva-precepts. The work systematises Zhìyǐ’s expository teaching, supplements it with intervening Tang-period scholarship (notably 法藏 Fǎzàng’s Fànwǎngjīng púsàjièběn shū (KR6k0080) Huayan reading), and presents a synthesised Tiāntái interpretation that became the working text of the Tang–Sòng Tiāntái tradition.
