Abstract
Chuán Ào’s commentary is a representative example of mid-Tang scholastic literature on the Fànwǎng jīng, working within the Huāyán-Cí’ēn 慈恩 synthesis that characterised the period after 法藏 Fǎzàng’s Fànwǎngjīng púsàjièběn shū (KR6k0080) foundational commentary.
