Chuán Ào 傳奧 (fl. mid-Tang) was a Tang-dynasty Buddhist scholar whose extant works include the Fànwǎngjīng jì 梵網經記 (KR6k0089) — a two-fascicle commentary on the Fànwǎng jīng in Huayan-influenced exegetical style. His biographical details are sparse; he is associated with the Chángān monastic-scholarly milieu of the late 7th to early 8th century.
